My name is Viviënne de Blaeij, and I joined Wijn- en Whiskyspecialist van der Boog and Passion for Whisky because of my wine knowledge and great love of wine. Since then, that passion has expanded considerably. I am now a certified Whisky Ambassador and passed the course with distinction, something I am secretly rather proud of.

Within our team, I am responsible for the wine selection, and every week I share a personal wine recommendation in our newsletter under the name Vin de Viv. Of course, the best way to discover wine is at its source, which is why I can regularly be found among the vineyards of my beloved France. In 2025, I even had the opportunity to create my own wine in Portugal. Fortunately, it was not only our team that enjoyed the result; our customers did too.

Besides wine, whisky and other fine drinks, I love cycling and spending a relaxing afternoon in the garden. Preferably surrounded by friends and family, with something delicious on the table and, of course, well-filled glasses. In my blogs, I share my discoveries, favourite bottles and the stories behind their producers, often based on my own experiences. After all, travelling, experimenting and, above all, tasting are the best parts of this profession.
