Mauxion Cognac Petite Champagne Lot45 - Paradise Series Vol. 3 Wu DRAM Clan
Unique experience for discerning connoisseurs: 1945 Mauxion Cognac Petite Champagne
13 generations in one place, 10 generations of cognac making: the illustrious history of the Mauxion family reflects a deep attachment to the land and the product. To this day, the operation strictly adheres to the traditional management and care of the vineyard. The result? Exquisite cognac.
With the Mauxion Sélection, the house offers lovers the opportunity to discover Cognac treasures from specific crus such as Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois. These single-cru bottlings are presented at cask strength and without blending in their purest form. They capture the essence of a bygone era and make every tasting a privilege. A case for the Wu Dram Clan.
Both tropical and classic notes make the indie trio's Cognac Petite Champagne L45 a highly complex experience. One reason for this is the traditional Remy method. This involves distilling the cognac along with the natural wine segment, i.e. without filtering out yeast and cloudy components before the distillation process.
It is also stored in a particularly humid cellar, partially buried in the ground. This special process provides additional flavour dimensions and preserves the alcohol content, allowing the cognac to be bottled at a strong 60% full even after 78 years. The result is a cognac with remarkable depth and variety. A unique experience for discerning connoisseurs who appreciate the maturity and complexity of this rare liquor.
Mauxion Cognac
The origins of the Mauxion family date back to 1575 when Pierre Mauxion was born in the village of Houlette. Today, after 13 generations, the estate is still home to the Mauxion family. Antoine Mauxion was the first of the family to produce eaux-de-vie in 1743 and ten generations have since followed in his footsteps. Today, the house of Mauxion Selection continues to embrace original traditions with regard to tending the vineyard and producing high-quality eaux-de-vie.
All Cognac produced by Mauxion Selection comes from the prestigious terroirs of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois. To preserve the flavour of their eaux-de-vie, Mauxion Selection Cognac is bottled at cask strength without blending or reduction, allowing the eaux-de-vie to develop with exceptional complexity and depth. While the careful selection process means quantity is limited, it guarantees a Cognac of unparalleled quality, every time.
