Mead

Mead has been drunk for at least 8000 years and is often popularly called honey wine. Actually, it has little to do with wine, since no grapes are used in the production of mead. Mead is made with a base of honey, water and yeast. All sorts of things can be added to this, resulting in an enormous diversity of flavors and varieties available.
