Tasting note

Nose

The nose opens with rich aromas of dried fruits, such as sultanas and plums, mixed with deep notes of vanilla and toffee. There is a subtle presence of toasted oak, along with hints of cinnamon, clove and a hint of dark chocolate. The aroma is complex and invites further exploration.

Flavour

On the tongue, the Decade Series II has a wonderfully full and rich flavour. The attack is sweet and creamy, with flavours of butterscotch, vanilla and ripe cherries. As the whiskey develops, deeper notes of dark chocolate and toasted almonds emerge, along with a spicy spiciness of cinnamon and nutmeg. The oak influence is evident but not overwhelming, providing a good balance between sweetness and spiciness

Finish

The aftertaste is long, rich and warming, with lingering notes of vanilla, oak and a hint of tobacco. There is also a slight hint of espresso beans and dark chocolate in the finish, making for a satisfying and layered end to the drinking experience.
