Glendullan 11 years 2012 - 2024 100 Proof Edition #32

The Glendullan 11-year-old 2012 - 2024 is a single malt whisky from the Speyside region, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2024 by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage as part of their '100 Proof Edition' series. This expression has matured for 11 years in first fill Oloroso sherry butts and is bottled at a strength of 57.1% (100 Proof), without chill filtration and without added coloring.

Glendullan Distillery

Glendullan Distillery is gelegen aan de oever van de rivier Fiddich in het charmante stadje Dufftown, in de Speyside regio van Schotland. Opgericht in 1897 door William Williams & Sons, is Glendullan een van de zeven distilleerderijen in Dufftown, vaak omschreven als de "whiskyhoofdstad van de wereld". De distilleerderij werd herbouwd in 1972 om de productiecapaciteit te vergroten en sindsdien opereren er twee afzonderlijke distilleerderijen op dezelfde locatie.

Een uniek kenmerk van Glendullan is het gebruik van water uit de Conval Hills, wat bijdraagt aan de zuiverheid en het karakter van hun whisky’s. Glendullan whisky’s staan bekend om hun milde en fruitige smaakprofielen, met tonen van appel, peer, vanille en een subtiele hint van kruiden. De distilleerderij maakt gebruik van traditionele koperen pot stills en een langzaam distillatieproces, wat zorgt voor een evenwichtige en verfijnde spirit.

De whisky’s rijpen voornamelijk in ex-bourbonvaten, wat zorgt voor een rijke en complexe smaakervaring. Glendullan produceert voornamelijk voor de blended whisky industrie maar ook als single malt wordt Glendullan wereldwijd gewaardeerd om z’n consistentie en kwaliteit. De combinatie van een historische ligging, traditionele technieken en hoogwaardige productie maakt Glendullan een gerespecteerde naam in de wereld van Schotse whisky.

Signatory Vintage

Signatory Vintage is one of the most respected and recognised independent bottlers in the whisky world. The company was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington and is based in Pitlochry, Scotland. Signatory Vintage is known for its impressive collection of single malt and single grain whiskies sourced from various Scottish distilleries.

In 2002 Andrew Symington acquired Edradour Distillery, one of the smallest traditional distilleries in Scotland. This has enabled Signatory Vintage to offer exclusive bottlings of Edradour whiskies alongside their regular independent bottlings.
