Hampden OWH 7 years 2016 - 2023 Habitation Velier

With the Habitation Velier Hampden 7 years OWH, the Habitation Velier range has now explored all eight styles of the legendary Jamaican distillery. OWH stands for the initials of Outram Warmold Hussey, the father of Lawrence Francis Close Hussey, who took over the distillery with his family in 2009.

OWH has the lowest ester content of any rum produced by Hampden. Aromatically, it is a worthy heir to Jamaican 'funky rums', with its stylish, empyreumatic notes. After 7 years of fully tropical maturation, the total angels' share has come down to more than 42%.

Tasting note

Nose

Rich and intoxicating. Vetiver, rubber, cane sugar, camphor, balsam, pineapple and banana.

Taste

Lively and powerful. Coriander, tar, cane sugar and geranium honey, toffee and ripe banana.

Finish

Long and persistent. Agave, coconut, melon, apricot, menthol and floral.
