Don Papa Masskara

Don Papa Masskara is a unique rum from the island of Negros in the Philippines, known for its rich sugarcane tradition. The rum is inspired by the colourful MassKara Festival, a lively and cultural event full of music, dance and beautiful masks, held annually in Bacolod City. Founded in 2012, Don Papa has quickly established itself as a premium rum brand that reflects the rich history and culture of the Philippines.

Don Papa Masskara is produced in the southern region of Negros Occidental, also known as ‘Sugarlandia’ due to the abundance of sugarcane. This rum is a blend of molasses-based rums aged in American oak barrels, which creates a smooth and rich base.

What makes Don Papa Masskara special is the infusion of local flavours such as calamansi (Filipino citrus), honey and chilli. This gives the rum a unique tropical and spicy character, with refreshing citrus notes, sweetness of honey and a subtle spicy finish.
