About the Game & Wildlife Series

A new series of wonderful whiskies with yet again a new artistic design by Hans, is a great way to colour the spring with its warm nuances in taste and style. At The Duchess we place great value on the origins of our whiskies and rums, as well as the surrounding areas of where they are produced. The black grouse on the label of the Glenallachie is a great example. 

The new release, Ben Nevis 10 Years Old Cask 1800020 Shiraz Cask Finish 56.7% 

This Ben Nevis is a 10 year old whisky, distilled on Oct 28, 2010. It was bottled at a cask strength of 56.7% after enjoying a Shiraz cask finish. In our humble opinion, this is an absolute treat with notes of Butterscotch, red forest fruit, and a subtle whiff of peat smoke.

The Ben Nevis distillery is named after the eponymous mountain Ben Nevis, which at more than 1.3 kilometres is the tallest of the British Isles. On its label a shelduck is pictured, a common sight in Scotland, and of course around the mountain and distillery itself.
