Glentauchers 24 years 1996 - 2020 #AM139
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Tasting notes Ruben Luyten - WhiskyNotes: Score 88/100
Nose: very round, with vanilla cream and hints of tropical fruits. Peaches on syrup, mango, bananas. Haribo gums. There’s a light hint of bubblegum as well. Honey. Just a hint of earthy pepper and gorse in the background, with a floral edge as well.
Mouth: more on the grassy / waxy side now, with some warm oak and mint but there’s still this very rich, sweet and candied side. Peaches, pears, melons, tangerines and a good dose of creamy vanilla custard and barley syrup again. Subtle hints of white pepper.
Finish: medium, with more oranges now, as well as honey and warm spice.
A great fruity Glentauchers with this bourbonny, syrupy and pastry-like texture that makes it very likeable.
