Pacory Calvados Domfrontais 1987 #13 The Whisky Jury 50cl

After years of bottling remarkable whiskies and rums, The Whisky Jury now ventures into new territory with their first Calvados — and it’s a stunning debut. Distilled in 1987 at Perrouin and matured at the highly regarded Pacory estate, this Calvados Domfrontais features at least 30% pear alongside apples. Nearly 40 years of cask aging have shaped it into a mature, refined spirit full of orchard charm. Bottled at 44% in a handy 50cl format, it’s been made as accessible and inviting as possible for both new and seasoned drinkers.

Tasting Notes

Nose

A burst of ripe orchard fruit — juicy Doyenné de Comice pears, apple compote and fresh cider. Underneath, polished wood, dried blossoms and a hint of vanilla add elegance.

Palate

Rounded and silky with lively flavours of stewed pear, crisp green apple and a touch of beeswax. Subtle oak tannins lend structure, while soft honeyed notes keep everything in perfect balance.

Finish

Long and refined with lingering fruit compote, pear peel, gentle spice and a delicate, drying oakiness.
