818 Tequila Blanco

Nose

818 Tequila is a modern tequila brand founded by Kendall Jenner and launched internationally in 2021. The name refers to the 818 area code of California’s San Fernando Valley, where Jenner grew up. Production itself takes place entirely in Jalisco, Mexico, working with local agave growers and a specialist distillery in the Amatitán region.

818 is made exclusively from 100% Blue Weber agave sourced from Los Valles. The plants are allowed to mature for at least six to seven years before harvesting. The agave hearts are then slowly cooked and crushed using traditional tahona stones. The resulting mosto is fermented in wooden and stainless steel tanks before being distilled twice in copper pot stills.

Since 2021, production has taken place at Grupo Solave in Jalisco. The range includes Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and Eight Reserve. Both American and French oak casks are used for the matured expressions. In this way, 818 combines a contemporary brand identity with traditional elements of Mexican tequila production.
