Do you have special bottles of whisky that you would like to sell? We buy old and rare whisky, from individual bottles to complete collections. Every offer is assessed personally and without obligation.

We are not appraisers and do not provide official valuations. For that reason, we do not make an unsolicited offer for your bottles or collection. You decide the price you would like to receive for each bottle or for the complete collection. We then assess whether the asking price is sufficiently attractive for us to consider a purchase or enter into further negotiations.

Please bear in mind that you are offering your whisky to a professional buyer. As we purchase bottles for resale, there must be sufficient room for our costs and margin. A realistic asking price for a trade buyer will therefore generally be lower than the potential selling price to a private collector.

The condition of the bottles plays an important role in our assessment. We look at factors including the fill level, closure, label and original packaging. The way in which the whisky has been stored may also affect our interest. Discoloured or damaged labels, signs of leakage and boxes or tubes in poor condition can significantly reduce both the value and our interest.

Personal handover in Rijswijk is required

Please note that we only purchase whisky bottles or collections that can be handed over in person at our shop in Rijswijk, the Netherlands. We are therefore unable to purchase collections from abroad if the transaction would require international shipping or the use of a courier.

Rare and collectable bottles can represent considerable value. Their condition, authenticity, fill level and packaging must be inspected in person before a purchase can be completed. For the security of both parties, we do not arrange acquisitions solely by email and do not accept bottles sent to us by post or courier.

You are welcome to contact us in advance with information, photographs and your asking price. However, the final inspection, documentation, handover and payment must always take place personally in our shop.

How does it work?

Prepare a clear overview of the whisky you would like to offer. For each bottle, please include the full name, volume, alcohol percentage and, where applicable, the year of bottling. You should also state the price you would like to receive for each bottle or for the complete collection. We are unable to consider offers without an asking price.

Please include clear photographs showing the bottles, labels, closures, fill levels and any original packaging. You can email the overview and photographs to info@passionforwhisky.com or use the form below.

Once we have received your offer, we will assess it and will usually contact you within a few days. If the bottles and asking price are of interest to us, we will let you know whether we would like to proceed with the purchase or discuss the price further. If we reach an agreement, we will arrange an appointment for the personal handover at our shop in Rijswijk. You will receive a purchase declaration from us, and the agreed amount will be paid to you by bank transfer.
