Old Perth 13 years Vintage 2004

The Old Perth 13 Years Vintage 2004 is a blended malt whisky composed of malts from two renowned distilleries: Macallan and Highland Park. This whisky was distilled in 2004 and matured for 13 years before being bottled by Morrison & MacKay in 2017. Only 620 bottles of it were produced, making this release quite rare. The whisky is bottled at a strength of 43.8% ABV.

Tasting note

Nose

Rich aromas of dried fruit, sherry influence, with light notes of honey, caramel, and a subtle hint of smoke, coming from the Highland Park influence.

Taste

Full and rich, with distinct sherry notes of dark fruits, such as sultanas and plums, complemented by spices and a hint of vanilla and wood.

Finish

Long and warming, with a nice balance between the sweeter sherry notes and the slight smokiness of Highland Park, giving it a complex depth.

This whisky is a nice fusion of the strong sherry characteristics of Macallan and the subtle smoky and maritime influences of Highland Park.
