Tasting Notes
Nose
Light and refined with notes of vanilla fudge, caramel, crème brûlée and a touch of tropical fruit. Beneath the surface lie hints of polished wood and almond skin.
Palate
Silky and creamy in texture. Flavours of honey, toasted coconut, ripe pear and a subtle zest of citrus. The alcohol is beautifully integrated, elevating the overall complexity.
Finish
Long and warming, with lingering notes of white chocolate, oak spice and a touch of nuttiness. An elegant and lasting finish that leaves you wanting more.
Cameronbridge Distillery
Cameronbridge Distillery, founded in 1824 by John Haig, is one of the oldest grain distilleries in Scotland and is located in Windygates, Fife. What began as one of the pioneers in grain distillation grew into an influential player in the whisky world, partly due to the invention of the continuous still by Robert Stein, a Haig relative. This distilling technique allowed for more efficient production of grain whisky, quickly making Cameronbridge popular and playing a fundamental role in the rise of blended whisky.
Its location in Fife, near abundant water sources and grain suppliers, made Cameronbridge ideal for large-scale whisky production. Today, the distillery is owned by Diageo and produces grain whiskies for well-known blends such as Johnnie Walker and Haig Club, as well as for independent bottlers.
Cameronbridge is known for its smooth, mellow grain whiskies with characteristic notes of vanilla, toffee and a subtle spiciness, thanks to long maturation in carefully selected oak casks.
