This Ben Nevis was distilled in 2013 and after more than 8 years of maturation, bottled in 2022. Maturation took place in 4 different casks: 2 refill hogsheads and 2 sherry finish butts. Finally, this is bottled in the Small Batch Series which perfectly reflects what this is all about. Only 4 barrels so the batch consists of 2070 bottles.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Cinnamon bread with strawberry jam combined with sultanas and figs, a hint of cloves and soft espresso notes.

Flavour: Dark fruit jam with subtle spices and dried fruit accents. The mouthfeel is wonderfully oily.

Finish: The sherry casks have clearly left their mark on this Ben Nevis. Toasted almonds and capuccino flavours linger long on the palate.
