This Hillside distilled in 1970 is part of the popular Rare Malts range. The Glenesk distillery where this Hillside was distilled was built in 1898 but closed a year later, only to reopen as a grain distillery in 1938. In 1964, the grain distillery was converted to a malt distillery and renamed Hillside. Around the 1980s the name was changed again to Glenesk, but unfortunately this distillery closed for good in 1985. 

Distillery bottlings are very scarce and highly sought after.
