It is bottled by Lars-Goran Wiebers, aka "Jack". He is the owner of the renowned Jack Wiebers Whisky World retailer in Germany, founded in 1996. Since then he has released a number of respected independent bottlings under labels such as the Old Train Line, Gentle Noses, The Cross Hill and Auld Distillers Alliance.
This Dallas Dh has been matured in a bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength as part of the Old Train Line range in 2007.
At the time the distillery was in production it was an important part of the Roderick Dhu blended Scotch. Dallas Dhu is now a very rare single malt. Like much of the portfolio of DCL (now Diageo) the distillery was deemed obsolete during the market downturn in the 1980s and closed in 1983. The distillery is now run as a museum by Historic Environment Scotland. Very few official bottlings exist and rare independent bottlings are highly sought after.
