Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch no.10

Glengyle Distillery has just launched batch 10 of the Heavily Peated Kilkerran and, of course, we immediately placed it in our webshp.

Glengyle Distillery

Glengyle Distillery is located in Campbeltown, on Scotland's Kintyre Peninsula, an area known for its rich whisky tradition. Founded in 1872 by William Mitchell, after several closures and ownership changes, the distillery was revived in 2004 by Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd, run by the founder's descendants.

A unique feature of Glengyle is the production of single malt whisky under the name Kilkerran, in honour of Campbeltown's original name. The distillery uses traditional production methods, including the use of copper pot stills and a slow distillation process. Kilkerran whiskies are known for their rich and complex flavour profiles, with a harmonious blend of fruity, smoky and spicy notes.

The whisky is matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, creating a deep and layered flavour. Glengyle Distillery's commitment to artisan production and respect for tradition have earned it a prominent place in the world of Scotch whisky.
