Ben Nevis 9 years 2015 - 2025 100 Proof Edition #41
Ben Nevis, located at the foot of Scotland’s highest mountain, is known for its bold and characterful whiskies. This 9-year-old expression from 2015, fully matured in first fill Oloroso sherry butts and bottled in 2025 for the 100 Proof Edition, is a powerful Highland dram with a pronounced sherry influence. At 57.1% ABV, it delivers depth, richness and a touch of old-school charm.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Rich notes of dark raisins, stewed plums and caramelized nuts. Underlying aromas of leather, tobacco and spicy oak add complexity, with a hint of orange peel for balance.
Palate
Full-bodied and intense with deep sherry sweetness. Flavours of dates, dark chocolate and espresso dominate, followed by hints of cinnamon, clove and toasted oak. Creamy and spicy in equal measure.
Finish
Long and intense with lingering dark fruit, warming spices and a dry, slightly bitter edge of pure cocoa and wood.
