Glengoyne Balbaína 100cl

Tasting Notes

Nose

Rich notes of raisins, orange peel, and apple pie. Behind that, floral hints, some cinnamon, and a subtle touch of almond and oak.

Palate

Full and fruity with flavours of ripe plums, honey, red apples, and gentle nutmeg spice. The texture is creamy with a hint of dark chocolate.

Finish

Medium to long with lingering sweetness of sherried fruit, warm spices, and a soft oak dryness.

Glengoyne Distillery

Glengoyne Distillery is located at the foot of the Dumgoyne Hills, just north of Glasgow, on the border of the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands. Founded in 1833, Glengoyne is known for its traditional and artisanal approach to whisky production. The distillery is located in a picturesque setting, surrounded by green hills and the pure water of nearby springs.

A unique feature of Glengoyne is the use of air-dried barley, instead of the usual peat-drying process, resulting in a mild whisky without smokiness.
