Loch Lomond Original Single Malt is carefully matured in the finest oak casks, ensuring a perfect harmony of flavour and aroma. The result is an elegantly smooth and full-bodied whisky that is particularly easy to drink. A Single Malt whisky with a distinctive character and notes of smoke and peat.

Tasting note

Nose

An initial impression of dark, warm leather, which then builds to a more Highland heathery character. These darker notes gradually give way to a sweeter, malty presence. This aromatic richness closes with lighter and more subtle woody notes that make their presence felt clearly at the end.

Taste

A distinct flavour of malt, with tasty sweet grain notes that build to an almost creamy texture on the palate. In the middle palette, there is a pronounced nutty taste, the texture and flavour of Brazil nuts. Finally, a slightly tart lemon note is fleetingly detected in the background.

Finish

The lemon flavour diminishes and the finish changes to more conventionally sweet. Hints of dark molasses develop into a darker finish of faint hints of lemon peel that offset the overall rich and sweet notes.
