Bowmore Distillery

Geschiedenis

Douglas Laing & Co. werd in 1948 opgericht door Fred Douglas Laing in Glasgow, Schotland. Het bedrijf begon als een handelaar en blender van whisky, maar richtte zich al snel op het selecteren en bottelen van single cask en small batch whisky's.

Douglas Laing is altijd een familiebedrijf gebleven, waarbij de kennis en passie voor whisky van generatie op generatie is doorgegeven. Na Fred Douglas Laing werd het bedrijf geleid door zijn zoon, Fred Laing Jr., en later sloten ook Fred's dochter Cara Laing en haar echtgenoot Chris Leggat zich aan bij het bedrijf.
