Auchentoshan Distillery
Auchentoshan Distillery is located in Dalmuir, near Glasgow, in the Scottish Lowlands. Founded in 1823, the distillery has a long and rich history in whisky production. Auchentoshan, which means "corner of the field" in Gaelic, is known for its unique distillation process.
A special feature of Auchentoshan is the use of triple distillation, a rarity in the Scotch whisky industry. This process creates an exceptionally pure and light spirit. The distillery has three stills: a wash still, an intermediate still and a spirit still, which together create a refined and delicate profile.
Auchentoshan whisky matures in a variety of cask types, including American bourbon casks, Spanish sherry casks and French wine casks. These diverse maturation methods contribute to the complex flavour profiles of their whiskies, which are often characterised by notes of citrus, nuts and vanilla. The distillery remains a major player in Lowlands whisky production.

History
Douglas Laing & Co. was founded in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing in Glasgow, Scotland. The company began as a dealer and blender of whisky, but soon focused on selecting and bottling single cask and small batch whiskies.
Douglas Laing has always remained a family business, with the knowledge and passion for whisky passed from generation to generation. After Fred Douglas Laing, the company was run by his son, Fred Laing Jr, and later Fred's daughter Cara Laing and her husband Chris Leggat also joined the company.
