Rosebank 32 years 2023 Release Three

The final in our first global series of three special legacy releases, this whisky perfectly exemplifies the qualities that earned Rosebank reverence as the 'King of the Lowlands'.

Tasting note

Nose

Rich and complex yet elegant and balanced, this 32 year old offers sweet aromas of pineapple and candied ginger mingling alongside lemon and marzipan, with hints of white pepper and caffè latte. 

Taste

The mouthfeel is velvety with good body and hints of malt, thyme, butterscotch, tropical fruits, drying oak and softly warming spice.

Finish

The soft and long finish has notes of citrus, honeyed porridge and toasted walnut.

Rosebank Distillery

Rosebank Distillery is located on the banks of the Forth-Clyde Canal in Falkirk, Scotland, a central location in the Lowlands. Founded in 1840, Rosebank has a rich history and quickly became known as one of the best producers of Lowland single malt whisky. Despite its closure in 1993, the distillery was reopened in 2017 by Ian Macleod Distillers, who wanted to revive Rosebank's legacy.

A specific feature of Rosebank Distillery is the use of triple distillation, resulting in an exceptionally pure and light spirit. Rosebank's whiskies are known for their delicate and floral character, with aromas of rose, citrus and vanilla, and a silky smooth finish. Maturation takes place mainly in American oak bourbon casks, which contributes to the subtle and complex flavour profiles.

With its combination of traditional methods and a focus on quality, Rosebank remains an iconic name in the world of Scotch whisky, loved by connoisseurs and collectors alike.
