Linlithgow 29 Years 1975 - 2004 Mission
The legendary Linlithgow distillery, also known as St. Magdalene, closed its doors in 1983. As a result, bottlings from this Lowland single malt have become extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors. This 29-year-old whisky, distilled in 1975 and bottled in 2004 as part of Murray McDavid’s Mission series, is a true time capsule of the elegant Lowland style.

St. Magdalene Distillery
St. Magdalene Distillery, also known as Linlithgow, was located in the heart of the town of the same name in Scotland’s Lowlands. Its roots stretch back to the mid-18th century, making it one of the older distilleries in the region. Built on the grounds of a former monastery, the distillery carried with it a sense of history and almost spiritual significance.
St. Magdalene whiskies were celebrated for their light, elegant and refined Lowland style, often showing fresh fruit, gentle malt notes and delicate spice. In 1983 the distillery closed its doors during the whisky crisis, and since then its bottlings have become rare and highly sought after. Today, the remaining casks and bottles are considered some of the most prized relics of the Lowlands, with every drop of St. Magdalene whisky representing a tangible piece of Scotland’s whisky heritage
