Nose

The nose of this whisky is subtle and refined, with aromas of ripe fruits like apples, pears and some stone fruits like apricots. There are also notes of vanilla, honey and butterscotch, along with a slight spiciness of cinnamon or ginger. Further soft wood and nutty aromas.

Taste

On the tongue, this whisky offers a nice balance between sweetness and spiciness. Furthermore, some stewed fruits, honey and vanilla, complemented by leather and spices such as nutmeg or pepper. The influence of the wood after 16 years of maturation adds subtle tannins and a slight bitterness, providing depth and complexity. The texture is soft and a little creamy.

Finish

The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness of fruit and honey, supported by a slight spiciness and woody notes that slowly fade away. An unprecedentedly elegant balance between the sweet and drier elements.
