Ballindalloch 2015 - 2024 for the BeNelux
Ballindalloch Distillery, known as the "Home of Single Estate Whisky," presents an exclusive release for the BeNeLux: Ballindalloch 2015 - 2024. This Scottish Single Malt, aged in carefully selected casks, reflects the distillery’s dedication to craftsmanship and quality. With nine years of maturation, this whisky has developed a beautifully balanced character, where fruity, spicy, and rich oak notes come together in perfect harmony. A remarkable edition that will undoubtedly captivate lovers of elegant and complex whisky.
Tasting Notes
Nose
A refined blend of stewed pears, honey, and vanilla opens the aroma, followed by subtle notes of dried apricots and toasted oak. Soft hints of cinnamon and nutmeg add a warm spiciness.
Taste
Rich and full-bodied, with notes of caramel, milk chocolate, and ripe peaches. The oak influence provides an elegant balance between sweet and spicy elements, with light accents of black pepper and roasted almonds enhancing the complexity.
Finish
Long and layered, with lingering notes of vanilla, burnt sugar, and a hint of dried fruit. As the finish fades, subtle wood tones and a gentle spicy warmth remain, offering a refined and harmonious conclusion.
Ballindalloch Distillery
Ballindalloch Distillery is located in the heart of the Speyside region, in the grounds of the historic Ballindalloch Castle in Moray, Scotland. Established in 2014 by the Macpherson-Grant family, who have lived on the estate since 1546, Ballindalloch is one of the youngest but most artisanal distilleries in the region.
A unique feature of Ballindalloch is its use of traditional craftsmanship combined with modern techniques. The distillery uses locally grown barley from the estate itself and water from the nearby spring, which contributes to the authentic character of their whisky. Ballindalloch whiskies are known for their rich, full flavour profiles with notes of fruit, honey, vanilla and a subtle spiciness.
The whisky is mainly matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, making for a deep, complex flavour experience. Ballindalloch Distillery is completely manual in its production process, from malting the barley to bottling the whisky, resulting in a product of exceptional quality.
The combination of an idyllic location and artisanal production makes Ballindalloch a special name in the world of Scotch whisky.
