Coleburn Distillery
Coleburn Distillery is located in the heart of the Speyside region, near the village of Longmorn in Moray. Founded in 1897 by John Robertson & Sons, Coleburn has a rich, if interrupted, history in the production of Scotch whisky. The distillery closed in 1985, but remains a fascinating part of whisky history.
A unique feature of Coleburn is the use of pure spring water from nearby springs, which contributes to the clarity and quality of their whiskies. Coleburn whiskies were known for their smooth and refined flavour profiles, with notes of fruit, flowers, honey and a subtle hint of spice. The distillery used traditional copper pot stills and the whisky matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks, which ensured a balanced and refined flavour.
Although Coleburn has not been in production for many years, the remaining bottles are highly sought after by enthusiasts, collectors and investors because of their rarity and the delicate, refined flavour they offer. The former distillery buildings are now a cultural heritage site, a reminder of Coleburn's rich tradition and history. The combination of a historic location, traditional techniques and the unique quality of the whiskies makes Coleburn a respected name in the world of Scotch single malt whisky.
Signatory Vintage
Signatory Vintage is one of the most respected and recognised independent bottlers in the whisky world. The company was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington and is based in Pitlochry, Scotland. Signatory Vintage is known for its impressive collection of single malt and single grain whiskies sourced from various Scottish distilleries.
In 2002 Andrew Symington acquired Edradour Distillery, one of the smallest traditional distilleries in Scotland. This has enabled Signatory Vintage to offer exclusive bottlings of Edradour whiskies alongside their regular independent bottlings.
