Glen Grant 18 Years
Glen Grant has long been admired for its refined, approachable style, and with this 18-year-old expression, the distillery from Rothes delivers something truly exceptional. This bottling is beautifully balanced, layered, and surprisingly fresh for its age. In fact, it earned the prestigious title of Scotch Whisky of the Year in Jim Murray’s 2020 WhiskyBible. Bottled in a generous 1-litre format, it’s a dram meant to be savoured—alone or in good company.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Delicate and inviting. Ripe peach, apple blossom, and vanilla blend seamlessly with soft honey, almond, and a touch of oak. A subtle floral hint adds finesse.
Palate
Smooth—velvety smooth. Flavours of apricot, pear, and crème brûlée are balanced with gentle spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. The mouthfeel is elegant, with a graceful interplay of fruit, sweetness, and oak.
Finish
Long and silky. Honey, vanilla, and a touch of toasted nuts linger beautifully. A whisky that walks beside you long after the sip is gone.
Glen Grant Distillery
Glen Grant Distillery is located in Rothes, in the heart of Scotland's Speyside region. Founded in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant, the distillery has a long and rich history. Known for its innovative approach, Glen Grant became one of the first distilleries to use electric lighting in 1872.
A unique feature of Glen Grant is the use of water from the nearby Caperdonich spring, which contributes to the purity of their products. Glen Grant whiskies are known for their elegant, fruity and floral aromas, with notes of apple, pear, vanilla and a subtle hint of spiciness.
The whiskies are mainly matured in ex-bourbon casks, which ensures a refined and balanced flavour. Glen Grant is recognised worldwide for its consistency and quality. The combination of a rich history, innovative techniques and high-quality whiskies makes Glen Grant a respected name in the world of Scotch whisky.
