Tasting Notes

Nose

Intense aromas of raisins, dark chocolate and espresso coffee, with hints of clove, orange peel and walnut.

Palate

Full-bodied and velvety with notes of sherry, toffee, figs and dark honey. The spice from nutmeg and cinnamon adds depth, perfectly balanced by sweet fruit tones.

Finish

Long and warming, with a lasting mix of dried fruit, cocoa, soft spices and a touch of toasted oak.

GlenAllachie Distillery

GlenAllachie Distillery is located in the heart of the Speyside region, near the town of Aberlour in Moray. Founded in 1967 by Mackinlay, McPherson & Co, the distillery has a rich history and a reputation for producing high-quality whiskies. After several ownership transfers, GlenAllachie was acquired by whisky icon Billy Walker in 2017, leading to a revival of the distillery.

A unique feature of GlenAllachie is its focus on artisanal production methods and the use of a wide range of casks for maturation. The distillery uses water from nearby Ben Rinnes, which contributes to the purity and character of their whiskies. GlenAllachie whiskies are known for their rich and complex flavour profiles, with notes of honey, sultanas, chocolate and spices.
