This 29-year-old expression from Glenfiddich’s Grand Series is the first ever Scotch whisky to be finished in rare ex-Awamori casks – a rice-based spirit from Okinawa, Japan. Tasting Notes

Nose

Elegant and layered, with aromas of ripe tropical fruit, roasted almonds, blossom honey, soft oak and floral hints.

Palate

Silky and rich. Notes of candied pineapple, lychee, crème brûlée, rice cracker and delicate spices blend seamlessly. The Awamori cask imparts a subtle umami note that adds depth and distinction.

Finish

Long, refined and harmonious. Lingering tropical fruit, soft wood notes, floral finesse and a meditative balance make for a truly memorable finish.
