This Glentauchers 13 Years, bottled by the independent bottler Scotch Universe, bears the mysterious name Alpha Centauri V and features a finish in a first fill Sauternes wine barrique. Glentauchers, a hidden gem from the Speyside region, is known for its soft, fruity spirit – perfect for adventurous cask finishes. Tasting Note

Nose

Rich aromas of honey, syrupy peaches and candied pineapple. Beneath that, notes of vanilla custard, crème brûlée and a subtle touch of sweet white wine.

Palate

Soft, rounded and fruity with flavours of nectarines, honeydew melon, white chocolate and a dash of spice from saffron and cardamom. Creamy and harmonious.

Finish

Long and velvety, with lingering notes of tropical fruit, sweet grapes and a touch of oak. The wine influence remains elegant and refined on the fade.

Glentauchers Distillery

Glentauchers Distillery is located in the Speyside region, near the town of Keith in Moray.
