Inchgower Madeira Cask Finish
Tasting note
Nose
Spicy malt notes with aromas of fruit and flowers. Also the smell of nut mix with sultanas and currants. Macadamia nuts.
Taste
A very rich flavour and the subtitle 'Fruity & Sweet' is clear. Mildly sweet that is, not too sweet. The whole fruit orchard passes by combined with nuts dipped in honey.
Finish
Mild and refined. A lovely all-rounder's friend.

Inchgower Distillery
Inchgower Distillery is located on the shore of the Moray Firth, near the town of Buckie in the Speyside region of Scotland. Founded in 1871 by Alexander Wilson, Inchgower has a long and rich history of producing whisky. The distillery was acquired by Arthur Bell & Sons in 1936, which contributed to the integration of Inchgower whisky into well-known blends such as Bell's.
A unique feature of Inchgower is the use of water from the Menduff Hills Spring, which contributes to the purity and character of their whiskies. Inchgower whiskies are known for their full, complex flavour profiles with notes of fruit, nuts and spices.
The whiskies are mainly matured in ex-bourbon casks, which ensures a balanced and deep flavour. Although Inchgower mainly produces for blends, their single malts are loved by connoisseurs for their complexity and unique flavour. The combination of a unique location, rich history and high-quality production makes Inchgower a respected name in the world of Scotch whisky.
Murray McDavid
Murray McDavid is an independent Scottish bottler founded in 1994 by Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin, and Gordon Wright. The company is known for its innovative approach to whisky, focusing on selecting high-quality casks and experimenting with unique maturation processes.
Murray McDavid bottles whisky from different distilleries, both single malts and blended malts, and often introduces secondary maturities in different types of casks, such as wine, rum or sherry casks, to create complex flavour profiles. They have several series such as "Mission Gold," "Benchmark," and "Cask Craft."
An important aspect of Murray McDavid is their focus on transparency. They provide detailed information about the origin of the whisky, the casks used and the ageing time, which makes them popular among connoisseurs and collectors. In 2013, Murray McDavid was acquired by Aceo Ltd, which expanded their ability to continue producing unique whiskies. Murray McDavid's bottlings are often praised for their quality and the creative way they combine traditional whisky techniques with modern innovations.
