Fragrant Drops is an independent bottler from Leith, Edinburgh in Scotland. The focus is mainly on Malt whisky, but Grain and Rye whisky, Rum and Brandy also pop up occasionally. Cask strength and (almost) always single cask releases. It really has to be an excellent cask for it to qualify to become a Fragrant Drop.

Tasting note

Nose

Very aromatic, with lots of fruit bursting out of the glass. Lots of lemon balm, apricots and nectarines. Then white grapes, apples and juicy pears.

Taste

A powerful "no-nonsense" Linkwood where the quality of the cask oozes from.

Finish

Long, still fresh, lemony and fruity.

Linkwood Distillery
