The Akkeshi distillery was began production in 2016 replicating distilling methods similar to that of the Islay distilleries, and using equipment produced by Forsyth's. The Taisho blended whisky is the 12th release in the 24 Season series from Akkeshi. It was put down to mature in a combination of of casks including Quercus Serrata casks and ex-bourbon casks for an undisclosed length of time. Part of a limited release, this whisky was bottled at a strength of 48% abv.
