Grape variety/ vinification

Colheita is a Port from a single harvest and aged for at least 7 years in oak barrels. The grape varieties from which this Port is made are: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão.

Tasting note

These are matured Tawny's that have been aged in oak barrels for at least seven years and come from one vintage. This wood maturation brings the port into light contact with oxygen. The port starts to oxidise, loses some of its colour and acquires the aroma and taste of vanilla, spices, sultanas, figs and caramel.

Wine/ food

The port goes extremely well with chocolate desserts, caramel and aged aged cheeses and blue-veined cheeses.

The Van Zeller family is one of the best-known families within the Port area and owners of several renowned Port houses, including Feuerheerds and Quinta Roriz, among others.
