Producer

Champagne Baron Fuenté is a family-owned estate in the Vallée de la Marne, known for producing classic Champagnes that focus on balance and accessibility. The Grande Réserve range shows how ageing, finesse, and drinkability come together across styles from Brut to Demi-Sec.

Baron-Fuenté

Champagne Baron-Fuenté was founded in 1967 by Gabriel Baron and Dolorès Fuenté. The Baron family had owned vineyards in the western Champagne region since the seventeenth century, but the creation of their own house gave a new direction to both viticulture and winemaking. From modest beginnings, Baron-Fuenté developed into an independent family estate with vineyards in the Marne Valley. Since the 2000s, Sophie and Ignace Baron have continued their parents’ work, further expanding and modernising the cellars and production facilities.

Pinot Meunier plays an important role in the Champagnes of Baron-Fuenté. The variety is well suited to the clay-limestone soils of western Champagne, bringing ripe fruit, roundness and a supple structure to the wines. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir add freshness, refinement and extra depth. The different cuvées are made with a clear house style in mind, combining approachability with sufficient character and complexity. Baron-Fuenté therefore represents family heritage, contemporary viticulture and Champagnes with an open and well-balanced style.
