Veuve Ambal Crémant De Bourgogne Blanc De Blancs
Veuve Ambal is a family-owned business that originated in the heart of Burgundy more than 100 years ago. Veuve Ambal is now the largest producer of Crémant de Bourgogne. The talent and dedication of its team have enabled it to become market leader and specialist of this appellation in France.
Grape variety/vinification
The grapes for this wine grow in Burgundy on clay and limestone soils. After the manual harvest, the grapes are slowly pressed. Only the first pressing is used for the blend, to get the highest quality. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Second fermentation takes place in the bottle, is induced by the addition of yeasts and sugar. The wine then matures on the yeast cells for between 14 and 24 months. This blanc de blancs is made from Chardonnay and Aligoté grapes.
Tasting note
The wine has a golden yellow colour. In the nose, fruity notes of white flowers. On the palette aromas of citrus and lime. The finish shows a nice minerality.
Wine/food
This wine goes very well with fish and shellfish.
