Producer

Bel Colle is based in Verduno, in the heart of Piedmont. The estate is known for its elegant approach and careful handling of Nebbiolo. Its wines combine tradition with accessibility, focusing on finesse, balance, and purity of expression.

Bel Colle

Bel Colle is a winery from Verduno, among the hills of the Langhe in Piedmont, Italy. It was founded in 1978 by the Pontiglione and Priola families, who deliberately invested in what was then a lesser-known part of the Barolo region. From the 1990s onwards, increasing attention was devoted to regional grape varieties and wines that clearly express the differences between individual vineyards. Bel Colle was acquired by the Bosio family in 2015, beginning a new period of investment in the vineyards and winery.

Bel Colle owns approximately ten hectares of vineyards spread across Verduno, the Langhe hills and other parts of Piedmont. The parcels vary considerably in altitude, position and soil, allowing each vineyard to contribute its own identity to the wines. Much of the vineyard work is carried out by hand, while the individual plots are vinified separately. In the cellar, the winery follows a traditional and restrained approach that avoids overshadowing the character of the grapes and their origin. Elegance, balance and a clear connection to Piedmont form the recognisable thread throughout its work.
