Description

Zenato Bianco di Custoza 2025

A fresh, dry white with a clear northern Italian character: clean fruit, gentle roundness and a polished aromatic lift. The style is approachable yet well made, keeping it highly versatile. Suitable as an aperitif and as a table wine with lighter to medium-weight dishes.

Tasting Note

Colour

Pale straw yellow with a greenish reflection.

Nose

Yellow apple, ripe pear and citrus, supported by white blossom and a subtle herbal nuance. In the background, a light almond note and a soft mineral touch.

Palate

Dry and juicy, with bright acidity and a smooth structure. Apple and pear lead, followed by citrus and a small, pleasant bitter twist that keeps it focused. Balanced and refreshing, designed for easy drinking without feeling simplistic.

Finish

Clean and medium length, lingering on fruit, citrus and a neat, dry close.

Food Pairing

A good match with antipasti, salads, shellfish and white fish. Also suitable with light-sauce pasta, herb risotto, or chicken dishes with lemon. Serve well chilled.

Producer

Zenato is an established Veneto producer with a strong focus on consistent quality and clean winemaking. Bianco di Custoza is their fresh, broadly food-friendly white, made to be approachable while still delivering character and balance.

Zenato

Zenato is a family-owned winery from Veneto in northern Italy, founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato and his wife Carla Prospero. From their home near Lake Garda, they gradually built a wine estate centred on a love of their craft, curiosity and respect for the region. Sergio was always willing to look beyond established conventions. He recognised the potential of vineyards and wine regions that were still developing and combined tradition with an open-minded view of the future.

Over the years, the family expanded its activities into the hills of Valpolicella. In this way, Zenato developed into a winery that expresses different sides of Veneto while allowing each area to retain its own identity. Today, the company is continued by the next generation, building on the same family values. The family remains closely involved in both the vineyards and winemaking and continually seeks a balance between experience and innovation. This personal approach and strong connection to the region form the recognisable foundations of Zenato.
