The Zenato Lugana Riserva “Sergio” 2022 is a refined and more powerful expression of Lugana, made from Turbiana (Trebbiano di Lugana) grown around Lake Garda. This Riserva combines ripe fruit with structure, tension, and depth. Ageing adds complexity and length while preserving the wine’s fresh character. A serious white wine with clear ageing potential.

Colour

Bright golden yellow with a gentle sheen.

Aroma

Layered and refined aromas of ripe pear, apple, and citrus, complemented by white flowers, almond, a hint of spice, and subtle oak.

Taste

Full-bodied and well structured, showing ripe white fruit and citrus flavours. The texture is rounded and concentrated, while fresh acidity provides tension and balance. Oak influence is subtle and supportive rather than dominant.

Finish

Long and elegant, with lingering fruit and a refined, lightly almond-tinged finish.

Zenato is a family-owned winery from Veneto in northern Italy, founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato and his wife Carla Prospero. From their home near Lake Garda, they gradually built a wine estate centred on a love of their craft, curiosity and respect for the region. Sergio was always willing to look beyond established conventions. He recognised the potential of vineyards and wine regions that were still developing and combined tradition with an open-minded view of the future.

Over the years, the family expanded its activities into the hills of Valpolicella. In this way, Zenato developed into a winery that expresses different sides of Veneto while allowing each area to retain its own identity. Today, the company is continued by the next generation, building on the same family values. The family remains closely involved in both the vineyards and winemaking and continually seeks a balance between experience and innovation.
