Château Brown 2021

Château Brown is located in the heart of the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation in the Graves region of Bordeaux. This historic estate owes its name to the Scottish merchant John Lewis Brown, who revitalized the château in the 18th century. Today, Château Brown is renowned for its uncompromising quality and its masterful balance of tradition and modern winemaking techniques. The estate boasts an exceptional terroir with gravelly soils, ideal for producing both red and white wines of elegance and depth.

This white Bordeaux is crafted from a classic blend of sauvignon blanc and sémillon.

Tasting notes

In the glass, the wine shows a bright straw-yellow color with green highlights. The bouquet is refined and aromatic, with notes of lime, grapefruit, ripe peach, and a hint of acacia blossom, subtly supported by elegant oak tones from barrel aging. On the palate, the wine is fresh and vibrant, with a beautiful tension between citrusy acidity and a creamy texture. The finish is long, mineral-driven, and slightly saline, delivering a wonderfully refreshing finale.

Serving suggestions

This wine pairs beautifully with refined dishes. Think grilled langoustines, oysters, ceviche, or classic turbot with beurre blanc. It also shines alongside white meats, such as veal medallions with a light citrus sauce, or a creamy risotto with green asparagus. For cheese lovers, it’s an excellent match with soft, creamy cheeses like brie or a mild goat cheese.

An elegant white Bordeaux that is already drinking beautifully but can also be cellared for a few years to develop additional complexity.
