Ben Nevis 20 years 1999 - 2019 Daily Dram 'Classics with a Twist'

Bresser & Timmer, the company behind Daily Dram, has launched a beautiful series entitled 'Classics with a Twist'. Perhaps this Ben Nevis 20 years is the finest in the series. The label shows a self-portrait of Rembrandt, but in a modern twist. Classic with a Twist.
 

Tasting note

Nose

Fresh, clean scent of lemon peel, chalk and limestone. Also grains and a hint of butter. Putty is also mentioned and some sunflower oil and bitter citrus like grapefruit.

Taste

Full flavour that comes across as a little waxy. Again, putty and overripe bananas, perfectly bitter and spicy. Green tea and star fruit. What flavours.

Finish

Very pleasant finish with hints of olive oil that lasts a long time.
