Bas-Armagnac is one of three areas in the Armagnac region (Côtes de Gascogne) where grapes are grown. Most of the vineyards are full of Baco and Ugni Blanc. The vines grow on acidic poor clayey loam soil with lots of gravel. This area produces a light, fruity and delicate Armagnac with a very good reputation.
