We are proud to unveil a true gem: Le Temps Retrouvé, an exclusive bottling celebrating the 13th anniversary of Wijn & Whiskyspecialist Van der Boog. This magnificent Fins Bois Cognac, discreetly labelled Lot no. 46, has slumbered for almost eighty years in French oak. (For reference: Lot 46 means it was distilled from the 1946 harvest.)

Crafted from Ugni Blanc and Colombard, this cognac breathes the atmosphere of a bygone era. Its name, Le Temps Retrouvé “Time Regained” honours the long, patient journey every drop has taken. Expect a silk-smooth, elegant spirit ready to delight even the most discerning connoisseur.

Tasting notes

Nose

Soft honey, dried peach and almond blossom mingle with the warm scent of polished old oak. A hint of menthol and candied orange adds finesse.

Palate

Velvety and rounded: think caramelised apricot, sugared orange peel, subtle spices and a whisper of almond and cinnamon. Ultra-light tannins keep the texture effortlessly smooth.

Finish

Long, fresh and silky. Liquorice, orange zest and gentle spices melt into an elegant note of old oak that lingers beautifully.

The Label

Have you taken a closer look at the label? At the top, you'll see an image of a stained-glass window, taken from the Saint Martin Church in Neuvicq-le-Château.

This quaint French village is located in the southwest, in the Charente-Maritime department (Nouvelle-Aquitaine region). Officially established in 1686, Neuvicq-le-Château is known for its cultivation of grapes and grain. The church dates back to the 12th century and was rebuilt in the 15th century. The stained-glass window from that era now graces our label—a tribute to the rich history of this remarkable place.
