Prunier Fins Bois Vintage 1974
Cognac Prunier is a traditional family-owned winery with cellars in the heart of the town of Cognac. The house does not own its own vineyards, but buys the eaux-de-vie directly from the winemakers and distillers and then carries out the aging process in its own cellars. It is cognac of absolute excellence.
Tasting note
Colour
Shiny brownish gold with handsome coppery highlights.
Nose
Dense, with rancio, walnut and hazelnut notes, wax and elegant tannins showing ageing in high quality barrels.
Palate
Naturally rounded and powerful for a Fins Bois. Fine, complex tannins. Interesting combination of nutmeg and licorice notes.
Overall impression
A very good Fins Bois from a vintage that was often difficult, with cool weather.
