The GlenAllachie 9 years Cuvée Cask Finish is a special creation by master blender Billy Walker, inspired by his passion for wine and his endless love for innovation. For this release, he handpicked premium wine casks from across Europe and skillfully blended different wine styles to craft a harmonious and elegant whisky. With this expression, GlenAllachie proves once again that pushing boundaries can lead to heavenly results.

Tasting Notes

Nose

A lively bouquet of orange blossom, espresso, maraschino cherries, and honeysuckle, with hints of candied stone fruits, hazelnuts, lavender, and cinnamon.

Palate

Waves of dark chocolate, red berries, and roasted coffee beans, followed by notes of crystallized almonds, blackberries, and orange zest.

Finish

Long and warming, with hints of ginger and a touch of liquorice fading gently.

GlenAllachie Distillery

GlenAllachie Distillery is located in the heart of the Speyside region, near the town of Aberlour in Moray. Founded in 1967 by Mackinlay, McPherson & Co, the distillery has a rich history and a reputation for producing high-quality whiskies. After several ownership transfers, GlenAllachie was acquired by whisky icon Billy Walker in 2017, leading to a revival of the distillery.

A unique feature of GlenAllachie is its focus on artisanal production methods and the use of a wide range of casks for maturation. The distillery uses water from nearby Ben Rinnes, which contributes to the purity and character of their whiskies. GlenAllachie whiskies are known for their rich and complex flavour profiles, with notes of honey, sultanas, chocolate and spices.
