The Tropical Hummingbirds Series

This series is the newest line of exclusive rums by The Duchess. Nothing but quality and pure, unadulterated flavour, with no additives for aroma, colour, or enhancement. The labels are adorned with colourful, exotic hummingbirds, each one native to the rum’s country of origin. The artistic design is once again by the familiar hand of Hans Dillesse, the painter who has become a household name for The Duchess.

Meet Ten Cane

Ten Cane is a 11-year-old rum from the closed Ten Cane Distillery in Trinidad. The rum has undergone a tropical aging for seven years and bottled at a cask strength of 63.0% from cask number 80. A delicious, typical Trinidad-style rum which is an excellent alternative to the famous Caroni Rum!

Ten Cane Rum was introduced in 2005 by Moët-Hennessy-Louis Vuitton, who wanted to try to emulate the larger rum brands with this rum. The distillery had a classic “artisanal approach” when making its rums, using French pot stills and also maturing its rums with a tropical aging. However, the sale of Ten Cane never got off the ground. These rums have remained a hidden gem and we are very excited about the release of this beautiful, highly exclusive bottling!
