This Limited Edition was exclusively hand selected by Laphroaig Distillery Manager, John Campbell and Philippe Lanusse of Buy Paris Duty Free.

This exceptional 20 year old Laphroaig has been matured using two types of unusual wooden barrels. The first 18 years maturation was in Hogsheads. These very large barrels maximize the intensity of the unique peat smoke notes present in Laphroaig. A further two years were then spent in Quarter Casks. In these small barrels the maturating spirit has 4 times more contact with the wood imparting intense fruity notes.

The result is a smooth, beautiful balanced yet powerful expression, with a particularly long and smoky finish. To ensure that the full flavour is maintained this rare expression is non chill filtered and bottled at cask strength.
