Tasting note

Nose

Irrevocably Laphroaig. The hint wasn't very hard to read either, but the aroma makes it absolutely clear. No more thick peat after being aged for over 30 years on a Bourbon Barrel, but fully equipped with notes of leather, tar, ash, smoke, peat, seaweed, salt, rope, port, diesel, basically everything you hope to smell in a special Islay whisky.

Taste

The flavour is powerful and spicy. The alcohol content of 51.8% adds to it. Like walking through the port of Glasgow in the 1930s. Nice and dirty and oily. What a dyke of a flavour.

Finish

The finish goes on and on. In fact, this is the finish we were hoping for. The aroma and flavour come together beautifully in this finish.
